We are delighted to share some exciting news from Quarry Walk Park! On March 19th, we had the pleasure of attending the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards at Statfold Country Park, celebrating the region’s outstanding businesses in tourism, hospitality, and leisure.
It was a fantastic evening, and we’re thrilled to announce that Quarry Walk Park won GOLD in the Camping, Glamping & Holiday Park category!
Understanding the Judging Process
We’re proud to have been recognised by such a rigorous judging process, which involves multiple stages:
Round 1 – Entry Evaluation:
Judges score the initial entry form, reviewing the evidence provided, including websites, social media presence, and customer reviews.
Round 2 – Visits:
Shortlisted entrants are visited either via an incognito mystery visit or by appointment, giving judges a real snapshot of the guest experience.

Feedback and Insights
We’ve now received our individual feedback from the judging panel, and it has been incredibly useful. Feedback from both rounds helps us understand what we’re doing well and where we can continue to improve, ensuring that Quarry Walk Park continues to offer exceptional experiences for all our guests.

What This Gold Award Means
Winning Gold at the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards is a huge achievement for Quarry Walk Park. But the excitement doesn’t stop there! As a Gold winner, we have now been put forward as a finalist for the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
- Finalist Announcement: National finalists are typically announced in late March or early April.
- National Ceremony: Shortlisted businesses are invited to the national awards ceremony in early June.
We are eagerly awaiting the next stage and hope to bring even more recognition to Quarry Walk Park on a national level!
