Eco-Friendly Heating & Hot Tubs

Biomass Heating for Accommodation

Our Daisy Glamping Pods, Bluebell Glamping Pods and Robin Lodge Cabins are heated and supplied with hot water by a biomass boiler. This uses sustainably sourced wood pellets, which are a renewable alternative to oil or gas, helping to significantly reduce carbon emissions.

Hot Tubs with Renewable & Low-Carbon Energy

Some of our hot tubs are powered by air source heat pumps. Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air and use electricity to transfer it into the water. They move heat rather than create it by burning fuel, making them far more energy efficient and much lower in carbon emissions than traditional oil or gas systems.

Water & Natural Resources

Borehole Water Supply

All water across the park is supplied by our own borehole, using groundwater rather than surface water from lakes or reservoirs. This helps protect local ecosystems and wildlife habitats, while also requiring less treatment than surface water.

Pump-Your-Own Water

Guests can help themselves to water across the park, encouraging mindful use and reducing unnecessary waste.

Waste & Recycling

Responsible Waste Management

We work with Panda Recycling to manage waste responsibly and improve recycling across the park.

Recycling Facilities

Recycling points are available throughout the park, making it easy for guests to dispose of waste responsibly during their stay.

Energy-Saving Improvements

LED Lighting & Smart Sensors

We’re switching to LED lighting across the park and fitting light sensors to outdoor lighting, reducing energy use while still keeping pathways and shared spaces safe and well-lit.

Solar-Powered Golf Buggy

Our new golf buggy runs using power from a solar panel, reducing reliance on fuel and cutting emissions for day-to-day park operations.

Supporting Local Stays

Interestingly, only 10% of visitors to Staffordshire stay overnight; most are day visitors. By choosing to stay with us, you’re helping support sustainable tourism, boosting the local economy, and helping maintain a quieter, more natural environment for everyone to enjoy.

Mindful Travel Choices

Choosing a UK holiday over long-haul flights is one of the simplest ways to reduce your carbon footprint. Staying closer to home lowers travel emissions and supports sustainable tourism in Staffordshire.

Linen & Laundry Sustainability

Our bedding and towels are cleaned by a professional laundry service that actively works to reduce its environmental impact through water, energy, and efficiency improvements. This helps lower the footprint of everyday essentials without compromising on comfort or cleanliness.
